Without a foundation, no house can stand. In a world that is becoming increasingly competitive, materialistic, and insecure, one needs to recognize the ghosts. That's a tough order for a Yank! My native culture is one of bigger, better stuff, where we always need to consume more and more. All too often we preoccupy ourselves with careers, cars and houses while neglecting the very reasons we are experiencing Life. The results are constant dissatisfaction, a feeling that "something's missing," high credit-card debt and mental health medications. There must be another way to find happiness without destructing oneself.

My foundation was strengthened in the Australian Outback. It was here I felt the spirit of a world before time, and discovered the timeless truths of the Aboriginals and the infinity of the Universe. As a backpacker, I was introduced to the Milky Way , the constellation Orion (in photo above) and Buddhism. I also learned what most call the "real world" is the greatest illusion of all.

My real world is one of Oneness, Energy and Flow. These themes of enlightenment run throughout ancient, mystical and Eastern teachings. These threads expose superiority and redemption through obedience as illusions. If, as the Aboriginals say, everything is One Spirit, superiority cannot exist. As well, redemption cannot exist without separation.

The disciplines to the left have many common threads; one of which is that they unite, not divide. The also say that Heaven can be a place on Earth, and it is our mindset which will make it this way.

In addition, I've included a link to my Australia page with my adventure story, "The Journey," and photos of backpacking.
